Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

DBT skills support growth in four key areas:

  • Interpersonal Effectiveness – tools to ask for needs to be met, set healthy boundaries, be assertive, and cope with conflict
  • Emotion Regulation – learn to self-soothe and become a nonjudgmental observer to your emotions
  • Distress Tolerance – helping individuals to accept, find meaning for, and effectively work through difficult situations.

 

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy

EMDR Therapy empowers the individual to tap into the body’s natural healing processes in order to integrate and move beyond traumas and disturbing life experiences. Events that are not integrated become unprocessed memory and get stored in the brain creating uncomfortable symptoms. These unprocessed and upsetting memories get stuck in our short term memory and EMDR therapy moves those memories on to long term memory where they belong. This facilitates the process of the past staying in the past rather than getting triggered in the present.  Through EMDR Therapy, the client will face memories or troubling events from the past until they are no longer disturbing. As a result, feelings of confidence, calmness, and aliveness can resurface.
