Deepen Into You

A Women’s Skills and Support Group utilizing tools from Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

 

Do you experience:
  • Overwhelming anxiety, fear, sadness or anger?
  • A critical voice that judges you and others?
  • Difficulty building and maintaining stable relationships?
  • Worry thoughts that block you from achieving your life goals?
  • Difficulty seeing the positive aspects of life?

 

This transformational group will provide a safe space to discuss issues specific to women. We will process and release painful emotions like fear, shame, depression, anger and anxiety. We will build connection and trust, learn to support each other, and deepen relationships. We will learn to open our hearts, accept, and have compassion for all aspects of ourselves. Each week we will focus on a challenge that women face, learning practical skills that transform the challenge into growth.

 

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focuses on providing skills to support 4 key areas of growth:

Mindfulness skills will help individuals fully appreciate the present moment and connect to their true self while focusing less on painful experiences from the past or frightening possibilities in the future.

Interpersonal Effectiveness skills give individuals tools to ask for what they need, set healthy boundaries, be assertive and cope with interpersonal conflict.

Emotion Regulation skills help individuals to more clearly recognize and observe emotions without judgment and to self-soothe our way back to a calmer state of mind.

Distress Tolerance skills help individuals accept, find value in, and effectively work thru difficult situations.

 

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a holistic psychotherapy that provides a step-by-step framework for empowering people to heal and transform their inner world. Group members learn to communicate with difficult aspects of themselves such as their anger, inner critical voice, and vulnerable wounded parts in order to transform them into healthy resources.

 

When: 10-Week Commitment on Mondays from 4:30 – 6:00 pm
