Aloha! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a fierce passion for people and commitment to supporting them. My goal is to facilitate trust, safety, and practical coping skills as we navigate challenges and move towards goals.
I approach things from a holistic point of view, focused on helping clients to better understand themselves and how their history has impacted their present. Along this journey, I empower clients to use given tools and resources to move forward into the vision that they want for their future. I approach experiences and beliefs from a trauma lens, utilizing EMDR and somatic interventions to reduce distress, regulate nervous system functioning, and update neural pathways. In this way, I support clients in building a safe connection between the brain and body.
I love working with teens (16+), adults, and couples. I follow my clients’ lead, but I also enjoy integrating art, music, and body awareness into sessions. When working with couples, I utilize Gottman Method Couples Therapy to help build a solid foundational relationship, learn better communication skills, manage conflict more effectively, and dream big together again. I also love to integrate EMDR and key somatic resources into couples therapy, allowing for deeper internalization of growth and trust. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and love working with all couple types.
My areas of specialty include trauma/PTSD, couples, anxiety, neurodivergence, and parenting. I heavily integrate my approach to therapy by pulling from a range of modalities and approaches such as Person-Centered Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Outside the office, I’m usually basking in the ʻāina, loving on my family (furbaby included), indulging in delicious food, and spending every moment possible at the beach.
Regardless of your origin or struggle, I’m here for it all. I’m here to see you, sit with you, equip you, and support you on your journey.
I work with teens(16+), adults, and couples.
