Aloha!  I am a Board Certified Child & Adolescent and General Psychiatrist.  I am in this field because I care deeply for the children, teens and adults in our community who are going through a difficult time.  We all struggle at points in our life and we don’t have to be alone.

My areas of expertise are in the treatment of conditions that typically begin in childhood and that may persist in adults, such as depression, anxiety, and ADHD.  I am passionate about helping our kids to feel confident, to accomplish their goals and to reach their highest potential.  I appreciate the trust patients and their families place in me to help make the best decisions for their care during some of their most difficult times.

Whether we are exploring evidence-based medical treatments or other considerations, my approach is to listen to the concerns people bring and help to develop a multifaceted treatment plan.  My many years of experience in multiple settings have led me to be thoughtful around prescribing medication, working to find the best fit, lowest dosage that will be most helpful, and helping patients to wean off when medications may no longer be needed.  I incorporate the strengths that are already present, utilize resources, and can assist with parent-child relationships and helping youth to transition into the responsibilities of adulthood.  It would be my privilege to work with you and your ohana.
