Life challenges us all at times, but I am a strong believer that the hard times provide us with invaluable wisdom and strength to become better, wiser versions of ourselves.  My gift is to meet people in their times of struggle and to be a guide on their journey to healing.  I chose a career in Psychiatry to learn more about the human condition and to study this particular path to healing.

While my training in allopathic medicine has given me a solid understanding of the role of medications in addressing a variety of mental health symptoms, I have seen time and again how the medication management model falls short in adequately addressing the mental health needs of my clients.  I feel it is important to shift focus from what is “wrong” to  cultivating wellness and incorporating the spiritual aspects of one’s life in their healing journey.  I have spent the last five years training in Integrative Psychiatry and Functional Medicine to deepen my understanding of how to optimize gut health and nutrition, manage detoxification and prime immune health for a truly mind-body approach to medicine.

More recently, I have seen firsthand the profound effects of psychedelic therapy including Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy as a powerful tool to further address the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of one’s health journey.  Ketamine opens a door to healing by creating neuroplasticity in the brain, helping individuals to open to healing from trauma, depression, anxiety and other struggles. I am both excited and humbled to live in such an unprecedented time when we have so many ancient and modern healing modalities available to us.
