Aloha! As a licensed mental health counselor, I seek to support clients by offering a grounded, compassionate and welcoming environment. I believe in developing a strong, collaborative relationship that creates the space for you to feel empowered to reach your wellness goals.
I specialize in working with teens, adults and couples. My approach is grounded in person-centered therapy and narrative therapy, and I weave in techniques of IFS, EMDR and somatic therapies. I foster a meaningful relationship based in acceptance and empathy, creating space to explore how your personal story shapes your identity. With IFS, I utilize the concept of “parts” to explore your inner self and develop pathways of healing. I implement somatic healing practices to develop awareness of the integration of our mind, body and spirit in a holistic approach to healing. I have specific training in EMDR, Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy and trauma-informed yoga.
When working with couples, I utilize concepts of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to support partners in learning their cycles of conflict and identifying the vulnerable emotions that lie underneath the surface to foster deeper connection to their partner, and healthy, meaningful communication. I help couples cultivate empathy and understanding, so they can come together, overcome challenges, and grow stronger through even the most difficult times.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as an early childhood educator for six years. During this time, I got to work with children and their families and saw how deep emotions can surface and how important early intervention can be. I then realized my journey was meant to be in the mental health field, which lead me to work within various community programs serving foster youth, probations youth, and families. Additionally, I have experience working with neurodiverse individuals, supporting them through skill development, the diagnostic process and deeper self-awareness. All of this experience helps me to hold each family’s best interest, supporting connections with their children, and creating a supportive and loving environment.
I love to work with people who are ready to create change, deepen their self-awareness and foster a holistic approach to their overall wellbeing. I’m so excited to work with you!
I love to work with teens, adults and couples. I offer a warm, collaborative environment that is tailored to your needs. My approach interweaves different modalities to facilitate a space for healing and wellness.
