Shayla Curtis , RN

Shayla’s path into healing began in her childhood in rural Oregon, where a lifelong connection to nature shaped her understanding of health, balance, and what it means to be well. She is passionate about approaches to healing that honor the whole person and is currently pursuing advanced education as a Family Nurse Practitioner, with a growing focus on integrative medicine and herbalism.

With nearly a decade in healthcare, Shayla brings a strong clinical foundation to her work. Her nursing experience is primarily in critical care, where she has developed extensive skills in IV therapy, crisis response, emergency care, and supporting people through their most vulnerable moments. As a ketamine therapy nurse guide, Shayla’s intention is to create an environment where patients feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely supported. She remains calm, grounded, and deeply present with each session and her natural warmth, curiosity, and sense of humor help make even challenging moments feel approachable and at ease.

Alongside her medical training, she is trained in Healing Touch, a modality incorporating therapeutic touch and energy-based practices. She brings these tools into her work when appropriate, creating expanded healing potential.

Having been an integral part of legislative efforts surrounding Oregon’s Measure 109, which established a regulated framework for psilocybin services in Oregon, Shayla has long been passionate about the therapeutic potential of psychedelics. She believes these medicines can help people reconnect with themselves, move through deeply held patterns, and access new perspectives.

Outside of the clinic, Shayla enjoys creating herbal medicines, spending time in nature, traveling, and dancing. She also hosts and facilitates monthly dance gatherings, creating spaces for authentic expression, play, connection, and community.
