As a Counselor, Therapeutic Mentor, Life Coach, and Educator in Boulder, Ryan helps people discover a truer self and create deeper relationships. Ryan’s eclectic approach is informed by his years as a camp counselor serving those with special needs, fitness trainer, high school basketball coach, and teacher at middle and high schools. He has also taught psychology at the undergraduate and graduate levels at Naropa University.
After discovering DBT in 2007, Ryan recognized the deep value in an approach that explored both acceptance of one’s inner experience and implementing effective committed action. Those principles have been at the philosophical core of Ryan’s therapeutic approach ever since. Ryan’s integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gestalt Therapy, and Brainspotting for healing trauma. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys a variety of sports, reading, and mostly spending time with his wife and two bouncy kids.
